Walked the downtown of
Taipei
. Lotsa people. The city is even livelier than the KL, and it seems like all people were so busy with their business getting here to there. Maybe it was Friday night. The weird thing was, there were so many people still at night. Even kids with their school uniform. Some cuter than the other. Some even looked like mixed Chinese or something Pan-Asian. None speak English, and seems like if I wanted to travel to mainly Chinese people, might as well learn some.
Living in NT$3000 a night
Howard
Plaza
. A night cost me $100. Quite a cool place and nice view of the back alley. At least I got the taste of the riches. Of how the rich got treated and how money actually get you stuff you never wanted To be rich in feeling.
Went to
Taipei
101 yesterday. The building itself is 101 storey high, and the highest we could go is 92 with the nice overlook. IF the night is cloudy and windy, they would allow you to the 89. Got some nice binoculars where you can put coins in.
The elevator is a nice technology where the speed is 60 km/h. In itself, I was equipped with automatic compressor/decompressor of air system where air was pumped in out of the elevator as to avoid ear-bursting incidence. Got a neat suspension system to absorb the fall and deceleration and if the metal string were broken into two, the braking system would ensure no free-falling to certain death.
In the center was what they claimed to be the first open-to-public wind damper technology. The center was a big ball, which were many pieces of some thick roughly 2 cm metal steal plates welded together. The ball had neat system at the bottom where it was connected to the hydraulic actuator controlled by computer to absorb the vibration caused by the building. Later, after some picture taking, went home and later walked the street of Taiwan of Kaishung. Discovered some night spot where curvy tall skinny girl were going into night clubs. Initially I wondered why it’s like that. I guess because is just the way world works.
Tonight went out to shop some gadgets. A one gig USB thumb drive costs roughly 600 – 800 depending on the brand. Sony one costs bout NT1000. That’s roughly RM120. I believe that is cheap, aint it? Don’t really know my gadget.
I guess I need to check my reality. Am I up in this game?
